Delete Your Account
You can delete your account directly from the Lila app:
- Open the Lila app
- Go to Profile
- Tap Settings
- Select Delete Account
This permanently deletes your Lila account and the data we host for you. This action cannot be undone.
Delete or Remove Specific Data
If you would like to delete specific memories or other personal data without deleting your account entirely, please contact us at:
Include the details of the data you wish to delete, and we will process your request promptly.
What Gets Deleted?
When you delete your account, Lila permanently removes:
- Your account information (name, email)
- Encrypted voice recordings and photos in our storage
- All journal entries and memories
- Location data and tags
- AI analysis results, insights, and searchable embeddings
- The media encryption key stored in your device keychain
Health Connect readings are not stored on Lila's servers, so there is nothing for us to delete there — revoke Health Connect permissions in Android settings if you wish.
If you previously backed up your media encryption key to Google Drive or iCloud, that backup remains under your cloud account control and is not removed by Lila account deletion. Delete it from Drive/iCloud yourself if you no longer want it.
This action cannot be undone. Please make sure to export any data you wish to keep before requesting deletion.
